We can call India one incredible country, known all around the world with its colourful culture, beautiful nature, numerous impressive attractions and well developed film industry. On the other hand, Pakistan is one proud country and a home to many spectacular landscapes, magnificent mountains, wild nature and fascinating ancient places. Probably, you do not know that there is one eternal rivalry between these two amazing countries, which is not associated with politics or other similar conflicts of interest but with sport competition.
Cricket is a bat-and-ball team sport which could be played in many different ways. This popular game is played on an oval-formed open-air arena, known as a cricket field. In its centre there is a rectangular about 20 m long area, known as a cricket pitch, which is the heart of the game. Every game, or match includes two teams of eleven players in each. One of the teams bats and tries to score as many runs as it can. At the same time, the other team bowls and fields in order to dismiss the batsman and this way it tries to limit the runs hit by the batting team. To score the run, the striking batsman has to hit the ball with his bat, then he has to run to the opposite end of the pitch and to touch the crease and all that without being dismissed. Also, at the end of every innings, both teams have to shift between batting and fielding.
India VS Pakistan cricket rivalry have been one of the most attractive and exclusive competitions in the sports world. The last few matches of those two teams were watched by more than 100 million people from the whole world. An interesting fact is that the competition between India and Pakistani cricket teams dates back 60 years ago because of political disputes. Every game between those teams is compared as a war. However, the statistics shows that Pakistan team has a larger number of wins. Therefore, we can call Pakistan the Land of Cricket because of its hegemony in that interesting and extremely popular sport.
