- Dutch Internet Law
The censorship is something many believed to be a thing of the past but it is still pretty much here today. This pushed the Dutch government to make a special law whit which the censorship on the internet to be prohibited. The companies that deliver this kind of services will be allowed to stop certain content only if it effects the laws of the country in some way or if this helps for the optimisation of the system.
Last year, the first part of the law passed and the reason was that some providers closed the access to many websites that provided VoIP services. This way they made a serious customers’ flow to other companies and technologies.
However, the problem still exists in many other countries where the free access to information is impossible.
