While some brands like HTC set worse profits others such as Samsung increase their. This shows that at the moment there are two main players in the segment – Apple and Samsung and they will do their best to keep the good positions.
In order to do so, Apple develops a TV which will be called iPanel and it is expected to be released in the 4Q of 2012. The device will be innovative, from Apple claim and should put them in leading position in this new segment too.
It will come with the same processor that has been installed in iPhone, iPad, iPod and will work under iOS. The price is predicted to be around $1 200.
However, the information is still not official but the rumours are becoming stronger and strong with every day, so there may be something true about them. What the characteristics and the design of iPanel will be we will see in several months.
