One of the most brilliant brains in the sphere is Ben Horowitz general manager in Andreesen Horowitz. 2011 was a good year for the whole fund. The people there invested $250 000 in the mobile application Instagram and when Facebook decided to buy the app for a billion dollars, this made the pure profit from the deal for Andreesen Horowitz $72 million which means 312 times the first investment.

Of course, some criticize Mr. Horowits that he stopped the investing too early and this is the reason for the competition to make time more than him, but in his personal blog he said that 312 times increasing the profit is not a bad result at all.
