The VoIP services are one of the things that allow millions of people to communicate easy and fast. However, one of the countries that uses these type of services a lot- Bangladesh is about to suspend them. At the moment around 1 million SIM cards are being used for VoIP calls and around 600 000 of them are already stopped and the rest will be stopped soon.
At the moment, the government in Bangladesh does not offer VoIP licenses which means that many of the companies on the market are illegal. At the moment the illegal companies work with around 30-35% of the market which is around 15 million minutes a month.
So, very soon the BTRC will block these services and the customers will have to switch to licensed providers.
