O2 is the new provider of Wi-Fi for 1,200 McDonalds restaurants for an year. The predecessor of the current provider was Cloud. The Olympics and the diamond jubilee of the Queen will see the switch. Now O2 has McDonalds among his customers, along wit hWestminster Council, Hous eof Fraser and Mitchells and Butlers.
The Wi-Fi hotspots will provide free Internet. All the customers need is a plain sign up process. O2 said: “All hotspots will be premium public hotspots, as opposed to using residential connections with limited bandwidth.” The recent statistics proved that 750,000 customers are logging on in ther McDonalds restaurants per month.
