The constantly changing business environment makes some companies fire people. This is exactly what happened in North America with over 1000 people who used to work for IBM. From the technological giant said the measures were needed because of structural changes which were taking place in the company. However, even that the number may seem very big, this is just 0.2% of the people working in the company at the moment, which according to the last information announced from IBM are over 400 000.
Dug Sheltun, company’s speaker said that such changes are normal for the company as it is constantly rebalancing the number of employees – lowering their number on one place and increasing it to another, where this is needed.
