Patents is the word that sets fire in almost all of the modern big technology companies. There are not companies in the branch that not to have trials in the court about their patents or the patents of their opponents. Here are two of the latest cases and the way these cases are moving.
Google and Oracle met in the court because of some patents of Oracle that was said, were used illegally by Google in the development of their Android. The court decided that Google are guilty and will have to make some sort of compensation.
Other trial that was put under the lights was the one between Samsung and Apple. However, the solution here became faster and easier compared to the one that is expected in the trial between Oracle and Google. The court have decided that neither Apple nor Samsung have the right to have claims about that many things, so in order for the trial to continue on 30th of July the judge decided to make both sides to achieve some sort of compromise on some of their claims.
Both of these cases will continue, so the final results are still pretty far in the future.
