Twitter has become more popular than ever in the UK. The favorite website for many bloggers, reached 10 million users in United Kingdom. In terms of logging, someone who is logging at least once in a month, is considered to be an active user of Twitter. The number of people using the social network’s services via their smart-phones have tendency for rising – 80% of the active users, are active on mobile state.
With the evaluation of the active users in UK, the overall number has increased, to more than 140 million active users on global scale and half a billion registrations. On 14th of May, Twitter launched an additional feature – the “weekly email digest”. The new feature allows the users to contain the most important Tweets shared by the people they follow.
