One of the biggest mobile telecommunication companies in Spain – Telefonica is going to release a new mobile VoIP app that allows free VoIP calls and sending text messages for free. The app is called TU Me and it is already regarded as a big challenger of Skype and Whatsapp. Both Skype and Whatsapp are very popular among smartphone users because they can be used for making free and cheap calls or sending free text messages respectively. The censorship is something many believed to be a thing of the past but it is still pretty much here today. This pushed the Dutch government to make a special law whit which the censorship on the internet to be prohibited. The companies that deliver this kind of services will be allowed to stop certain content only if it effects the laws of the country in some way or if this helps for the optimisation of the system. - lower roaming prices
It finally has happened – the new lower prices of the roaming services are just a step from becoming a reality. Yesterday, the European members of the parliament agreed on the new charges for the services, which include different sides of the roaming services and very soon many of the prices will fall. More and more restrictions are expected in the future too. According to BBC the website of Virgin Media was attacked by hackers yesterday and was down for at least an hour. The responsibility for the attack was taken by the internet group known as the Anonymous. They reported about the attack in a tweet from an account associated with the collective. The tweet itself read: “Virgin Media – Tango Down #OpTPB”. The main motive behind the attact is because one of the largest IS providers in UK blocked the access to the torrent site The Pirate Bay.
