Nokia haven’t completely abandon Symbian it seems. Although the Finland mobile phone manufacturer doesn’t intend to use the flawed mobile operating system on their smartphones in the future, Symbian will have one last chance to appear on a Nokia device. Rumor is that Nokia plan to release the last phone running on Symbian at the end of May. Samsung and Apple have sold most smartphones for 2011. Both mobile phone manufacturers recorded unprecedented sales. According to report by IDC Samsung sold around 94 million units while for the same period Apple sold 93.2 million units of their iPhones. Google expects a cut from every sold iPhone
Google is going to make profit from every iPhone sale. The company has sent a letter to the Institure of Electrical and Electronic Engineers claiming that it is entitled to 2.25% cut of every sale of an Apple smartphone because of patents sold from Motorola Mobility to Apple and other mobile phone manufacturers.
